FLO of the Year - 2025

Selfless Service Award - 2025

Approximately 50 Texas A&M University students from the freshman-led ASSIST organization (Aggies Selflessly Serving in Shaping Tomorrow) poured their energy, time, and hearts into giving back to the community. They tackled every task—from gardening to organizing storage—with passion, drive, and teamwork that was truly awe-inspiring. Their dedication, enthusiasm, and spirit of camaraderie left an unforgettable impact on all of us at The Living Legacy Center. What a beautifully blessed day, reminding us of the incredible things we can achieve through service and community!

Being a part of ASSIST was truly life-changing! I met my best friend, who will soon be my Maid of Honor at my wedding!!! It's a fantastic way to give back to the community while creating wonderful memories and lifelong friendships. I highly recommend it, 11/10!:)))

From my ASSIST interview, I knew this was the FLO that I wanted to be in for my freshman year. I connected so well with my committee, and we made lifelong memories that I will never forget. ASSIST truly shaped my college career for the better, and I am so grateful I joined!
- Vivianne Farlander, ASSIST 26

I am truly grateful to have a group of friends from ASSIST that I look forward to spending time with. I met a handful of friends I still keep in close contact with. I also attribute ASSIST to teaching me a lot on how to lead as well as serve others. Overall, it is an amazing organization with an amazing community that truly cares for each other.
- Owen Mundwiller, ASSIST 26

Assist was an amazing experience as a freshman. It allowed me a space to spend time with people that also wanted to serve the community. I formed such a strong group with my committee and felt welcomed in the organization as a whole.
- Max Moeller, ASSIST 27

Assist was a great way to keep myself busy and social for my first year of college. I also met a lot of new friends and got to meet so many people with diverse interests and personalities.
